So, last weekend we did it. We took both of our cats to the summerhouse in Nea Makri. We wanted to spend some time in better air and calmer surroundings ;) The drive there was calm. I had planned to have the small one on my lap and Angie being in the transportation bag, but it turned out just the other way around. The lady went crazy in the bag and was much more relaxed when she could sit on my lap and look out of the window. Sabbath just slept thru the whole drive (like 45 minutes), so did not care much about anything.
When we arrived there and i put the toilet on the floor i saw how small it was for Angie and started to feel really bad. I just brought Sabbaths toilet, but somehow didnt expect it to be THAT small.
At first everything was fine. Sabbath was playing around the chair on the veranda and Angie was sitting in the door of the house, that i had in my view when i was outside. At some point she wanted to go more far, so i put on my shoes and followed her around. Thank god she did not try to climb on any tree! Later we did another walk on the leash thru the whole garden.
When we were away and during the night we had them locked in of course!
In the evening, attracted by smell of food, a horde of other cats came. Sabbath was really shocked (Angie was inside so she would not get a heart attack) and as he was tought by Angie, he was scared of the bigger cats, who were just curious.
The came close and sniffed at him, while he was backing up hissing. When more cats came i put him in the house tho.
The next day Angie was exploring the front of the house, where i could see her and suddenly George said: what is she doing there? I looked towards the gate and.. she was outside! Oh my god! Well on the road there a car passes like every hour or so, but still i wanted to get her back in as soon as possible. So we both went after her ... She was sneaking between the fences and the parked cars along and i tried to get pass her so i could catch her, but walking fast on the street. Luckly she didn't decide to dash forward. When i almost had her she turned around and ran towards George again. He caught her and i carried her home. Of course i wasnt mad at her (at least i didnt show it), but still she had to remain inside for the rest of our stay. We will see how we handle this the next time. Her being always on the leash is not a very attractive thought either.
George said his cats always walked around (also outside our garden) and always came back. But i think i would not have a calm second if Angie did that.
In general Sabbath is getting more courageous now and follows Angie around here, making her hiss and growl. Well in my opinion they have to deal with that themselves. I don't was to take any sides really.
Added more picutres in the gallery too!
